James St., between Sioux and Dakota Avenues., will close to through traffic beginning Monday, Oct.11. Access to the Discovery Center and the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce will remain open from Sioux Ave. only.
The closure will allow crews to install a sanitary sewer for the city’s new drinking water treatment facility.
Weather permitting, the stretch of street is expected to reopen to through traffic on Friday, Oct. 15.
