[ARCHIVED] Rawlins Library Hosts Magic Show

magic show

Rawlins Municipal Library will host a Reading Safari Magic Show this weekend.

The magician, Jeff Quinn, will use wild creatures and sneaky snakes throughout his show with the goal of encouraging kids to read.

“This event fits nicely into our summer reading program,” said Robin Schrupp, Library Director. “Tails and Tales is the theme, so it’s totally appropriate to bring animals into the mix.”

The event starts at 3 p.m. on Saturday and will be held at the YMCA gym.  The event is expected to last about 45 minutes and is open to the public.

Quinn is the President of the Society of American Magicians, teaches magic classes, and is traveling to libraries throughout South Dakota this summer with his Reading Safari Magic Show.

For more information, contact Ginny Kaus, Youth Services Librarian.
