Rawlins Library: May Programming
May kicks off the Summer Reading Program at Rawlins Library, keeps all the book clubs in full swing, and brings a Poet Laureate to your doorstep.
BOOK CLUBS
Cozy Book Club
Tuesday, May 6 at 9:30 a.m.
This interactive large-print book club is open to the public. In May, the cozy mystery is Book Clubs Can Be Fatal by Jinty James. Coffee and cookies will be served.
Adult Book Club (Tuesdays)
May 6, 13, 20 & 27 at 6:30 p.m.
This month, the club will read The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. To join this club, designed exclusively for those 18 years or older, email rawlinslibrary@ci.pierre.sd.us, call 605.773.7421, or sign up in person. Water and coffee are provided.
For the Thrill of It Book Club
Sunday, May 18 at 2:30 p.m.
The book of the month is Another Girl Lost by Mary Burton. Register for this book club by visiting the front desk at the library or calling 605.773.7421. Must be 18 or older.

Writers Club: Session 4
Thursday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m.
Join us for guest speaker Bruce Roseland, who will share how he finds inspiration to write poetry and how thoughts can become poems. Bruce Roseland is the 8th Poet Laureate of South Dakota.

Rawlins Library Summer Reading Program
Registration is open for the eight-week summer reading program. Participants enjoy their very own 4-day session, Monday through Thursday. That’s 4 days in a row (except for holidays) with friends, fun crafts, and stories! For more information visit the Summer Rec Activity Guide at CityofPierre.org.
