Wednesday, June 26 a portion of the Pleasant Dr. and Poplar Ave. intersection will close to accommodate underground utility work and street construction.
As a result, southbound Poplar traffic should detour at Capitol Ave. Northbound Poplar traffic will not be impacted. Weather permitting, the partial intersection closure is expected to remain through Monday, July 8.
Pleasant Drive remains closed to through traffic between Elizabeth St. and Poplar Avenue.
During this construction season, the city is improving more than 100 blocks of city street.
