Rawlins Library Programming Schedule
Whether you’re just learning to read, want to advocate for the library or received a new device from Santa, Rawlins Public Library has something for you next week.
Saturday, January 5
Did you get a new tablet for Christmas and you don’t yet know how to work it? Let the library staff help you! Between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, staff will offer tutorials to show you how to download free ebooks, audiobooks and magazines.
Also on Saturday, Pumpkin Pye, the reading therapy dog will be at the library from 10 a.m.to 11a.m. to listen to those just learning to read.
Monday, January 7
Super seniors will get super treatment at the Library on Monday Jan. 7, with free access to library services the whole day. They include:
Free black and white printing, up to 5 pages
One free book from the Book Sale rack
Free access to Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest
Free document scanning
Access to new large print books
Free faxing, up to five pages
These perks will be offered to senior citizens once a month through October. Visit, Rawlinslibrary.org for additional dates.
Tuesday, January 8
A Light Painting Photography class will be offered on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7p.m. Learn the basics of the photography technique. The program is open to all ages. To pre-register, all 773.7421.
Wednesday, January 9
“Friends of the Rawlins Library-Pierre” will have its first meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. The group will advocate for the Library through marketing, grant opportunities, volunteer organization, and fundraising.
